Tampon Troubles!?
I've had my period for like 2 years now. Ok well I'm really getting sick of wearing pads, I find it very unsanitary and I hate wearing them in P.E. So I tryed out a tampon one day and I figured it was in far enough but I guess it wasn't because it didn't feel right at all when I walked around. Should I stick it in farther? WTF!
I hate asking my mom these types of questions because she totally overeacts about it. Yeah I guess she wasn't ready to hear I wanted to use tampons either...

I stole my moms tampons for years before she figured out where they were all going to. We didn't discuss things like that in my family. To answer your question, try putting some Vaseline on the tip and sides of the tampon before inserting it. Then put one foot up on the toilet while the other is on the floor. Hold the greased up tampon tube (top tube where the tampon is) between your thumb and finger and gently slide it up inside until your fingers and thumb are touching your body. Hold it in this position and with one of your other fingers push the bottom tube up into the first tube. This should put it far enough inside so that it won't fall out and you won't feel it. If you can feel it, stick your finger in there and give it a little push. Don't worry, you can't put it in too far and it will always be within fingers reach. I hope this helps.

yeah sometimes they just go in weird, maybe not far enough, maybe crooked, who knows. just make sure you put it in all the way until nothing but the string is showing, you dont want any of the actual tampon hanging out. if it dosent go in far enough at first just push it in a little with your finger- or use another and try again. make sure your using the right size too. they should feel comfortable and not too big, if you just started using them you should at least stick to regular, they have others for beginners though.
Yes, stick it in farther... put the applicator as far in as you can (while still hanging onto it) and then push the tampon in. Your body will not let it go too far up and "get lost".
