Question(girls only please)?
Question:
I am on ortho-tricyclen if anyone's wondering.
Is this possible or am I SOL?
Answers:
Oh good grief. You can only do the "skip the placebos/start a new pack" trick with monophasic pills. Ortho-TRIcyclene in triphasic. This would not be safe. You could become pregnant as the varying levels of the drug could allow you to ovulate. The only other way would be to switch to Depo-Provera quite soon and it may stop your period, but you would be cutting it awfuly close.
You can just skip your 'period week' of pills and go right into the next pack. This is what I do sometimes if me and the hubby are going on a little 'date'.
Just skip the last week of your current pill pack and go straight into your next one. That will delay it. Have fun on your vacation :)
Hello, I know the feeling but I am on Yasmin and have been told by a doctor that you can stall your period by skiping the White Pills (fake Pills) and start a new pack right after your last real pill on the last pack it works I have tried it many times gone for 3 to 4 months at a time that way without my period and actually the only reason I want to have had my period in the past year was because I forgot to order my prescription but try it talk to your doctor it should be ok
There is a way but you need to talk to your doctor. I've been doing it for years because I have horrible cramps. But I can't tell you because I don't know your medical history and I'm not a doctor. Just hurry and call your doctor and he/she will tell you how to stave your period off. Call immediately if you want it to not show up uninvited.
Take a few extra "active pills" from next month before going to the inert pills or the no pill week and then your period will happen later. No big deal and perfectly safe.
