It doesnt go by your sister it goes by you. and I advise you Not to put a tampon up there untill you have started as it could come to you having TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome)
If Your worried about starting wear a pad or panty liner or what ever but i dont think you should put a tampon up there just yet

It is normal. I had discharge and full pubic hair for about 2 years when I got my period. I was 14 when i got it. You are perfectly fine, everybodys body matures differently.
Also, you shouldn't use a tampon. there is really no reason to, because there shouldn't be enough discarge to need one. It you feel gross, just use a pantiliner.

You can have lots of discharge way before your period, its just part of the cycle. And its good that you're even having discharge, its part of puberty. The hair is normal, its called "Pubic hair".
Your period will come, even if it comes two years from now. Just be patient and be happy you don't have it yet.
And yes, you can stick tampons in your vagina before your period, but there's no use for it. It's a lot better if you use a tampon for your menstural cycle than for just discharge, it'll be less painful. The discharge can be annoying. If you don't want it to soak your underwear then borrow one of your sister or buy some of those thin, small pads that they have for very light periods. It's a thin strip. You can put that in your underwear for the discharge.

that's completely normal and remember you and ur sis are different ppl ! it sounds however that urs should b coming soon u could put a tampon in but why would u, u should have tampons and pads in ur purse with u for when it does come and prob a bottle of ibuprofin in case u get cramps, but i wouldn't use them till u need them. :)
Get your parent and go see an gynecologist. If you are not uncomfortable, have no weird/foul odor and are otherwise maturing normally, I expect the period will come and that the discharge is due to hormones and normal. In the meantime, buy panti-liners to deal with the "discharge" so you feel dry and comfortable. I would not recommend using a tampon prior to making sure you do not have an infection and without an active period. Research "toxic shock syndrome" to better understand my thoughts there.
So, in short, I suspect your lack of a period is normal for you, but if you have a discharge that was not there before and is frequent and bothersome, I would go get it checked out and get educated and informed so that you don't worry and know what to expect.
You sound smart and pretty well informed on puberty, but I would feel better if you had a check up regarding the discharge.

Some girls dont get their periods till they are 16. It will definitely come, count on it, but dont rush it, its not all its cracked up to be. when you get your second cramp you will beg to get to menopause.
