Can you lose a tampon contained by your vagina, how do you retrieve it?
Answers: I'm not sure on what to tell you on the retrieval of it (other than going to the ER )...but within all cases, you are going to want to take it out even if it means an degrading trip to the doctors...if left within place, it can cause infection and possibly TSS (toxic shock syndrome) which is a systemic infection that can be mortal.

When you put the tampon inside the string stays out so you can take the tampon out..
