Does too much iron supplement cause dizziness?

Question:
I take pre natal supplements and since starting I have small dizziness spells

Answers:
Iron supplements should prevent dizziness. Is this a prescribed supplement? Some suppliments are more absordable then others. Iron is one thing that you really SHOULD NOT take with out talking to your doctor. To much can poison you.
Absolutely, yes. Not every pregnant woman needs supplemental iron (though obviously many do, I am not trying to bag on prenatal vitamins). Some people, like myself, actually naturally have too much iron for our optimum health. They make prenatal vitamins without iron, for women who have trouble coping with iron supplementation during the first trimester.

Talk to your doctor (if you're pregnant or trying to get pregnant, you have seen a doctor, right? Good!). The blood test for iron is quick-and-easy and they can give you good advice.
