Why amI 35 years old and having 2 periods in 14 days. My tubes were tied 6 years ago so no chance of pregnanc

Question:
I am missing an ovary and wondering if its possible to go through early menopause at 35? What are some reasons for 2 periods in 14 days?

Answers:
Back in January of this year, I had my normal 3-day early period, it lasted the normal 5 days and ended. Two weeks later, I had it again for 5 days. Then, 16 days later, I had it yet again. I contacted my OB/GYN and could not get an appointment until late March, and in the interim I had two more periods. At my appointment, a pelvic ultrasound was done and showed uterine fibroids. I had a hysterectomy in April because my childbearing years were over, and I am now in surgically-induced menopause.

You need to see your OB/GYN regardless. Yes, you could begin menopause at age 35, but the bleeding could be caused by other factors, only your doctor can determine the cause.

Good luck.
Although unlikely, early menopause DOES occur. Given that you are missing one ovary, however, my guess is that you have some deficiency in progesterone (and possibly other hormones). This can be remedied with hormone therapy; contact your gynecologist for a checkup.
Only a Dr. after a examine will be able to answer that one!
You need to call your Dr. I would say something isn't right. You could have a cyst, an infection or maybe even cancer, but you really should call the Dr. When something like that happens which isn't normal for you, you should have it checked out. I do hope its nothing serious.
Time to go to the gynecologist...don't get too worried, there are lots of possibilities, but some of them should be checked for by a pro. If your progesterone levels are off, your body doesn't know when to start the period and gets confused...some women are chronically low in progesterone (symptoms like nasty PMS, irregular periods, mood swings, etc.), others become low due to stress. Many women your age or younger are low in progesterone--I was--and just about everybody gets low when perimenopause kicks in. Progesterone can be supplemented without prescription (with Progest Cream, for instance), but see your gyno first to rule out anything more serious.
Just to say that there is still a chance of pregnancy - tho an eptopic is more likely. I too have been sterilised and i had a huge chat about how it was still a possibility so any signs of pregnancy then I was to go straight to docs. (I have to say tho that I don't think your pregnant in this instance)

As for early menopause, well sounds likely. My mum started hers at 35 and completed it by the age of 40. And she had never had any problems, just a natural occurance. The only thing in your case is that you haven't mentioned any other symptoms. Any hot flushes, night sweats, weight gain, memory loss, irritability etc?

I would go and get checked out no matter what. A simple blood test will give an a clearer picture on whether something is happening or not.
