You never stop taking antibiotics until you have completed the course of treatment. Go out and get some Monistat or one of those other OTC yeast infection treatment meds... and if you like yogurt, make sure you're eating plenty of it.
Do not stop taking the meds.
anyime your doc prescibes you antibiotics have him also write you a script for diflucan.
alot of them do, stay on the antibiotics to make sure whatever infection they are treating is fully gone but also call your doc and tell them whats happening and they will call in a prescription for your yeast infection. sometimes doc's will automatically prescribe something for yeast infections when they prescribe certain antibiotics as its so common.
don't stop the antibiotics, you can get vitamins called acidopholis (spelling may be wrong) or eat 2 cups of yogurt a day, that should help. Oh and word of the street is when you have an infection your supposed to wear cotton underwear? beats me, just what I heard
You should never stop your antibiotics until you're completed with them. I am currently on antibiotics for 2 months and I have 1 more month to go. I eat yogurt everyday and take acidophilus tablets(Stoneyfield Yogurt has a lot). Acidophilus is found in yogurt but you can find the tablets in the grocery store. Taking acidophilus will help maintain a healthy balance of bacteria and prevent a yeast infection. Good luck!
Eat lots of yogurt, that will help, so you don't have to take other drugs like diflucan.
Why aren't you talking to your doctor about this. Don't stop taking the antibiotic until you see your doctor and get their approval to stop. The doctor can also prescribe something for the yeast infections,(if that's what you do have) that won't interfere with the antibiotic treatment.
Good luck!
and yet another thing that sucks about being a woman!! You must take your antibiotics for the whole time that they are prescribed. Eat lots of yogurt and just go ahead and start an yeast infection treatment or have your DR give you a script for a medicine for it
