Has anyone had any luck with home waxing?

Question:
I just bought some wax strips for my legs and it didn't work that well even though I did it correctly.
It's annoying that I went through unnecessary pain - I should have just stuck to the razor!!

Answers:
I have never used the wax strips, but I do use the wax that you warm in the microwave and it works very well for me.
SAME! waxing is a loada crap, a shaving i never got on with, so i use Veet hair removal creme. Its amazing! Waxing left loadsa crap on my legs, seriously get some hair removal creme!
I dont have any problems with it. I do my legs and underarms. You have to make sure you apply a very thin layer of wax, make sure it's warm enough (not too hot). I used the microwavable variety and that has always worked well.
I do pretty good on waxing my eyebrows.
However,I thought I would try it "down below".
OMG! Dont ever, and I mean Ever put wax down there and try to pull it off.YICKS!
well.. I've been waxing myself at home for 3 years now with the only exception that I've been using hot wax, not cold, and I have no problem with it. I've also used cold wax strips and they also did the job right. Always make sure your skin is clean, heat the strips between your hands before applying them to the skin and pull in the opposite direction of your hairs. Another choice in getting rid of unwanted hair is the epilator. You mentioned razor.. In my opinion, the epilator is a much better option. Why not use it?
Waxing anywhere on the body hurts!! I just stick to good old shaving
they do work
