Girls Only. & DOCTORS ;)?
Hey guys!:
I was just wondering if a yeast infection can cause pain 'down there". Kinda of like a stingy pain? I just wanted to randomly ask that. =)
Answers:
Yes it can. However, any pain associated with urination should be checked by your doctor as it could indicate a urinary tract infection or other serious problems. If you are sexually active, you should really be checked for any STD's. Chlamydia for one, can cause scarring on the fallopian tubes which could render you sterile.

I guess it could...but maybe you want to have a dr check that out. They do have OTC meds that you can buy...just about any type of grocery store or pharmacy will have them.

Yes it can. It itches and burns like fury in my experience, and when it's particularly bad yes it stings.
No. A yeast infection has no pain.
If you have stingy pain, it is more likely a Urinary Tract Infection.
I have had both kinds of infections before (not at the same time!) and know for sure.
See a doctor for the correct treatment.

There is a new test that is sold over the counter that detects if the symtoms you are having are from a yeast infection or not.
