Majorly Irregular Cycle?
Question:
I was completely regular last year, but this year has been NUTS!! I got my period in January, regular and everything (usually it lasts for a week). And then I got it again in Febuary, and then I skipped March and got it in April...
And I haven't gotten one SINCE!! Is this normal?
I should let you know that I've never had sex (I'm a virgin and I say this PROUDLY), so I am positive I'm not pregnant. My mom says it is normal because of my weight, but I'm not so sure... it is an awful long time.
Please let me know, it will be much appreciated.
P.S. I'm 14, I weigh 97 pounds (I was just naturally skinny/tall, it rund in my family), and I got my period at 12. I hope this information helps a little. :)

You should definately get checked out by a doctor you could have a disease or just be sick or maybe even a mini infection. Either way you should get a check up to make sure. When you go to the doctor's they'll most likely recommend birth control. You should take the offer.
im very irregular too and I suppose your weight does have something to do with it, because I weigh about the same and i also have months when I simply skip it. I also seem to skip it when I eat less..
This is not normal; especially the amount of time you bled your first time. Your weight has nothing to do with it because I went through something similar and I weighed more than you.
I would ask your mom to take you to the Gyn. It sounds like you have a hormonal imbalance of some kind. The doctor should be able to tell you what is going on.
Your period can go crazy @ anytime that is how mines does all the time an now it gone back wacko again lol
Because you are still young it's not unusual to still be irregular, but I would suggest getting a check up by your GP just in case you might have a cyst on one or both of your ovaries. Cysts can throw your hormonal balance out. Most cysts go away by themselves, but I advise getting it checked because the ones that don't go away can cause alot of problems, and it is common in young virgin girls. Don't be afraid of the examination, it's an external one where the Doc can feel through the outside of your tummy. Good luck.
