Answers:
Of course your husband will not test positively for PID. It stands for Pelvic Inflammatory Disease and affects the uterus and fallopian tubes. It is often the result of untreated STDs like chlamydia progressing to injure the reproductive system.
Pelvic inflammatory disease is serious. I hope your hubby was tested for STDs. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that is what it comes from.
Schedule an appointment with your gyn a.s.a.p. PID often leads to sterility because of scarring in the fallopian tubes.
To begin with, PID itself is not a sexually transmitted disease, nor something your husband can catch from you. It means Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. It is an inflammation of your female reproductive organs, which can be caused by gonorrhea or chlamydia, but can also be caused by any other number of bacterium as well. Your husband might catch the first two if you have them, but he'll never catch the PID. Also, you might consider kidney stones. My gynecologist initially diagnosed me with PID once, but it turned out all my symptoms were begin caused by a huge kidney stone!
