Yellow vaginal discharge?

Question:
i am 14. i am a virgin. i don't have my period yet. however, i get this yellow discharge. all my underwear is stained with it. i don't know if i have an infection. it is yellowish and it smells a little and it doesn't itch or hurt at all. and i don't want to really tell anyone about this if i don't have to. do i have to see a doctor? what do i tell my mom? and if i do have to see a doctor what do they do? i hate taking any clothes off in front of one. please help.

Answers:
Sounds like a yeast infecton, is not life threatening but needs to be dealt with. Check the internet for treatment that is used by yourself. (Google yeast infection) You may find books on this at your library. Please treat this as it can cause problems later in life.
i'm not sure if you are really referring to discharge where it really wet your underwear or is it just yellowish stain on your underwear. If it is just yellowish stain, no course of alarm as it is normal during puberty stage. but if it wet your underwear, then u may want to consult a doctor. u don't have to take off your clothes, just underwear if they need to examine there.
It could be an infection , dont use too much soap , in fact i got toldonly to use warm water down there as im very sensative to things like that .
I know this might sould grose but it could jjust be a little wee and female discharge together ( every female gets discharge ) but it shouldnt smell.
Also tight underwear can couse issuses too.
Hope this helps

..but its probaly where your about to start your period soon
You need to go to the doctor! I know it's embarrassing, but you need to go.
Yeast is itchy and sometimes painful/irritating and the discharge is like cottage cheese. A yellow discharge is sometimes a sign of vaginitis or a vagina infection. You do not have to be sexually active to get one. Wearing tight pants, hot weather, all of these contribute to them. A doctors visit is in order. Also, if the odor is more like a urine smell, it could be that you just need to wear a panty liner. The ONLY way to diagnose a vaginal infection is to have a GYN exam.
Don't be embarrassed. it is better to be safe, these things don't just go away.
