Explain why my period is this late!?

Question:
Well this is an embarassing question. My period was about to start on the 16th-ish. I've had my period for 3 years now, so I'm mostly pretty regular. It hasn't strarted yet.
Now for for five days I have been wetting the bed and I don't even know it until the morning. This happens every night. I am 14 years old. Please tell me why this is happening!!!
Thank you for your help.

Answers:
You don't say whether you're sexually active or not. A late period could mean pregnancy if you are sexually active. Even if you have been regular in the past it is not uncommon for periods to be irregular in teen years. As far as the bed wetting...it could simply be that your body is adjusting to a recent growth spurt. When I was 12 I started wetting the bed (I had no problems with it when I was young) and it didn't stop until I was about 15. Not to scare you, yours might not last that long, but my doctor said it was not that uncommon.
i might not know what is happening but this is happening to me too except im not wetting the bed and ive only had 1 period but thats ok
CONSULT A GOOD LADY DOCTOR. DUE TO
UR HEALTH CONDITION UR PERIOD MIGHT
HAVE DELAYED.
It would be best to see a lady doctor bcause there can be different reasons of why. Take care :)
