Anyone else have this sleep problem?

I've had this and consulted a doctor. My case was only the paralysis and fear of not being able to move increasing with every moment I couldn't shake it out of the paralysis. If I could take one deep breath, I could finally move. If someone touched me I could move. Also, unlike you I would be awake. I could sense and hear everything going on around me. I just couldn't speak or move. It was like my mind woke up ahead of my body.
The doctor called it Cataplexy. It was caused by stress. If I sleep too many hours now I experience it. It is frightening, but as I said I didn't feel all the other symptoms you describe.
I reduce stress as much as possible in my life.
OMG, ok I dont want to sound like a total nut job but I used to get those quite often other times id open my eyes and for a brief nanosecond id see a face looking back at me, my dad said it was a demon (thought he is, im not very religious) but he gave me a prayer to say and it always worked, dont know if its medical and the prayer just gives me something to focus on or what but It always goes away immediately after saying Psalms 91, or even someother prayers.
