I would take all suggestions here with a grain of salt, as I'm sure you know! I only say this because I wouldn't trust these that a lot of these people know what they are talking about. I do understand why you are asking though, in case anyone else had this problem and could offer advice. Some people are just either rude about it or don't know what they are talking about.
Since you've already been to the doctor about it (Why are people telling you to go to the doctor when you've obviously stated you went already?!) then I don't think you have to much to worry about. The doctor would notice if it was anything major or anything. If you still feel really uncomfortable, call your doctors office to make sure. If you are worried about calling after your visit because you don't want to seem annoying, don't be! It's there job to give out medical advice and to reasure mothers. You have a right to worry, you're his mom!
From my understanding the most common thing that blood in urine (hematuria) is caused by a UTI. Did your doctor mention that was a possibility? I do know it only takes a very small amount of blood to make the urine discolored. That's the only thing I could think of, and like I am not even sure because I have no medical training what so ever. One of the children I babysit for had this and that is why I know a little about it.
Just keep an eye out for any other symptoms, if ANYTHING seems not normal for your sons behavior then notify your doctor and tell him on your next appointment that you have with him. I think you are handling the situation just fine by going to the doctor. Good luck and I'm sure everything will be fine!
Edited: I'm sure you know this already but as someone earlier mentioned giving cranberry juice. That is NOT ok, you shouldn't give any juice to babies younger than 6 months old, as recomended by the American Academy of Pediatrics Committee on Nutrition. Like I said I'm sure you probably knew this already, but that's what I meant about taking the advice here with a grain of salt =)
It could be that you aren't ASKING YOUR DOCTOR.
