Anyone know what you can put on a sunburn?
Question:
Answers:
That is a very bad burn. You can try oatmeal and aloe with lidocaine. But maybe you should consider taking her to a doctor. Make sure she drinks a lot of water and you can give her some Tylenol to help reduce the pain and inflammation.
Other Answers:
NOXEMA. The very best.. Tylenol..
And then you should whup your husband for allowing her to get this way..
allo..its amazing
Take her to a doctor---sounds like she has sun poisioning or an infection brewing---in the meantime---try some apple cider vinegar mixed with water.
take her to the doctor he will know what to put on it. Poor little thing
Noxzema works great for me
pure aloe vera or vitamin E oil
read an article that said vinegar. put some on a paper towl and lay on the area and let it dry. then repeat. i don't know if this will help with her sunburn. sounds really bad. good luck
Solarcaine - it has lidocaine in it which will numb her back & shoulders as well as aloe.
aloevera it may be cold and yet hot but it will get the job done of gettin ridd of the sunburn
My sister is a "floater". When she would get blistered, my mom would put her into the bathtub and add apple cider vinigar to the tepid water.

check with the advice nurse, this was decades ago.
First off some pain medicine. Then go buy some sooth-a-caine aloe vera gel. you can get it at your local pharmacy or wal-mart. and if it get so bad blood starts oozing out take her to the doctor. Oh, and let the dad know that the sun causes skin cancer, and advise him of what sun block is!!
Solarcaine but I would take her to the emergency room sounds like she could have 2nd or 3rd degree burns. They could get infected..Don't wait.
take her to a doctor. sounds like sun poisoning. she should be seen by a professional and not treated with home remedies.
and buy dad a bottle of sunblock of kids for the next time she is with him for the day.
the best answer is to take her to a doctor cause that sounds like sun poison,or u can try Banana Boat Sunburn relief. But the best thing to do is take her to the doctor!
awww, banana boat has a good aloe gel..i burnt my face like that and it was miracle juice..poor kid..stupid stupid dude!
Your husband "let her get sunburned." Oh lord, another separated or divorced couple using their daughter as an excuse to fight or file charges.
She's sunburned, for crying out loud. There are tons of different sunburn remedies out there over the counter. Sunburn happens to all of us---and our children. How old is your daughter? Is she old enough to put on her own sunscreen? Is she a teenager who wants to get that dark tan and refuses to use sunscreen? If she's very young, then he may have put on the sun screen and forgot to reapply it after she got wet.
You're leaving out so many things----but you sure remembered to put in there that "her dad let her burn." Geeeeesh. I guess this means you're going to use this as an excuse to not let her go with her dad next time?
Stop it!
With the blisters, I'd take her to the doctor, in the meantime try Banana Boat "Sooth-A-Caine" after keeping it in the fridge it has aloe vera and pain relieving lidocaine- it feels so good when cold and helps ease the pain

me-i used it after this weekend
aloe vera, the plant or cream from the store
Two choices.
The first and easiest (and best in my opinion) is a green gel with Aloe Vera in it. You can typically find it at your grocery store in the first aid area or sometimes in the lotion area. It's typically in a big bottle and will be a bright neon green gel with the words 'Aloe Vera' on it. It not only works right away to help the sunburn, but it's cool on the skin.
The second is to get an Aloe Vera plant and break the leaves off of it. Break the leaf in the middle and rub the gel stuff that comes out on the sunburn itself. Pure Aloe works well, but this is more expensive as you will go through a lot of plants in the end.
Hope that this helps.

I agree with the others take her to a doctor, but to help prevent infection and ease the pain until then, use neosporin, it will also help prevent scarring. This is coming purely from experience as the same thing has happened to me.
Ouch! This kind of sunburn hurts VERY badly, so go easy on her. Also, watch for infection where the blisters are.if they get filled with pus or extra red, you may take her to the doctor. Tylenol helps a little with the pain.
Solarcaine spray is great for the pain, but tends to dry the burn out. Aloe Vera sooths, cools and helps heal burnt skin. Both can be bought at the pharmacy, but you might find more pure Aloe Vera at the health food store.
Please talk to her dad about always using sunscreen when she's in the sun, especially between the hours of 10a-1pm when the sun is it's hottest. Just one bad burn increases the risk of skin cancer later in life.
Good luck!
Maybe having her see a doctor, wouldn't be a bad choice. As this does sound kinda severe! Noxema and aloe vera, both would work GREAT! Keep a damp towl on her back and shoulder to help ease the pain, and the burn. See a doctor!
first of all give her something for the pain Motrin is best, second take her to the emergency room because this isn't just sunburn sound pretty bad i think you should not risk getting an infection.
in any other burn case where it isn't so bad, try neosporin plus pain relief is good for burn plus it has pain relief. hope she feels better, and take your ex with you so he can see what his negligence has done to her.
# 1 do NOT use NOXEMA! It closes the pores and the natural healing process needs air. And will actually cause heat to be retained thus burning the skin more deeply.
100 % aloe vera works very well to help healing. And to dry the oozing make an oatmeal paste with water and plain raw oatmeal. It may be a little rough going on a child so an oatmeal bath would work better. Keep the room, the car and all spaces she will be in as cool as she can stand to avoid the temperature from causing pain. Keep her with as few clothes on as possible.
Also use "Dermoplast" a pain relieving spay for fast relief on a child. Purchased at all drug stores, wal mart, k-mart, for about $4.
And introduce your husband to any number of child safe UV45 or higher (deet free) products like "Bull Frog" UV protector and mosquito replellent for children, it stays on in water and will prevent this painful ordeal in the future.
