Probably is. I think pharyngitis is usually viral. Hope you feel better and get your voice back soon. Try hot tea with lemon. That's what I do when I get it.
Not really, it's just a severe soar throat, but, it's more likely worse because you probaly might had a Terrible Headache, High temp., aching muscles , and joints.
