I used to do gymnastics in my contacts. I also wore them when I played lacrosse and never had a problem. They do make glasses that you can wear while playing sports.
Your sweating in your eyes wouldn't be good for youe lenses. There are sport glasses my son's best friend wears them for soccer. Talk to your eye doctor
I wear my contacts all the time and have never had problems with wearing them during sports or other activities. I wear them snowboarding, rafting, jogging, whatever. Any issues that could possibily come up from wearing contacts is still 100% better than dealing with glasses or running around with impaired vision!
