Why is my headache lasting so long?

Question:
For about two weeks, I have had a headache. Not continuously, but it appears about three times a day, everyday. It began with pains in the ear, not like an ear infection, but just painful jolts whenever they would pop or I bent over. The ear pains is gone, but now the headaches won't stop. Any explainations?

Answers:
One year out of the blue on vacation I got a blinding headache. they continued on daily. I was sent finally to a neurologist and she said they are Chronic Daily Migraines.

Not to worry there is a great deal of options to make it stop. They can add a couple of preventatives (like Celexa and Topamax) and then Maxalt or Imitrex when they do strike.

The preventatives took me to half the number of headaches right away. over time I was to the point where I only had a couple a month. I was able to wean myself off the meds. It took a couple of years to get to that point.
So see a doc. have the scan to be sure nothing else is going on. Then request the treatment.. don't wait. It isn't worth sitting around in pain.

Other Answers:
It maybe a migraine, but when time allows I would go to a dr to get a ct scan done. Good Luck.
