You are lucky that in today's society, being gay is very accepted and celebrated. Before you even consider dating, find gay friends by joining clubs, sports or going to events specifcally for gays and lesbians. Once you have a strong support group that you can talk to and identify with, you can consider dating. Be safe and remember, the best relationships don't start at the bar, but by meeting someone through friends or at a social event.

Gay doesn't mean acting like a girl or anything, just be yourself. I have some gay friends and I would actually love to date them if they were straight. They just know what they like and it happens to be men, they act the same as always

If you find a best friend who is a man and you want to share your life together, that's your choice. If you find and begin to love a woman to share your life with, you can have children and have a posterity. Homosexual inclinations are not a life sentence.
