Self control! That is the only thing to help you, eating healthy alone won't help you lose weight, exercise regularly also and change your lifestyle. Dont do it for your dad though- do it for yourself and your life. People who eat healthy SMALL meals every couple of hours have more energy. few easy switching- cut back on sodas and junk food. Instead of chips eat sunflowers seeds or unsalted nuts. It will help those craving and both have good proteins. Instead of fried food try grilled. Switch to lowfat mayo, small changes will help you out, if you go out to eat order smaller portion sizes. Start small- just walk down the street and back and work your way a few extra yards a day until your walking a mile a day. But like I said before you have to Want to change, do it for yourself- it'll make the reward so much sweeter!

dear candy, the first thing id like to say is your dad needs to stop calling you names and try to help you. negativity won't help. just try to think of how much better you will feel after you lose the weight. you will never be able to stay away from food, so you need to get control and eat smaller portions. set a goal of losing so many pounds per week. goals always help. ask your doctor for a diet maybe. i wish you luck and tell your dad i said to "lay off"!

first, you have to love and respect yourself, and no matter what your dad or anyone say's about you, feel secure about yourself, you are the only one walking in your shoes, over eating is a mind and emotional thing, and it can have a hold of you if you let it. find a support group if possible and start eating more healthy, but remember it comes from within, ask your dad to support you not ridicule you.

How can i prevent my cut/incision from becoming keloid?

Well.. apparently you overeat otherwise you wouldn't have said "stay away from food". So you know that that is one of the things that is stopping you from losing weight.
A couple suggestions:

Stop thinking about staying away from food and start thinking about eating more often. I know it sounds odd.. but most people don't eat enough raw vegtables and fruits. When you heat vegtables they lose most of their nutrients. So, instead of thinking "I need to eat less." start thinking "I need to eat more (veggies and fruit). Eat as many vegtables as you want (potatos not included) and as often as you want. Treat yourself to a peach or apple or whatever type of fruit you like when you have that sweet tooth.

Also, make sure that you eat breakfast. It has been proven that a person who eats breakfast has a better chance of losing weight then a person who does not.

Last but not least, eat three *full* meals a day. By this I mean 4-6 ounces (the size of your palm) of meat, a salad with anything but iceberg lettuce(any dressing you want), vegtables, and a starch. Treat yourself to light ice cream or some sort of low-fat dessert.

As far as motivation goes.. I used death. I had a serious problem with eating McDonalds ALL the time. So everytime I pasted McDonalds I would think of the hospital and having bypass surgery on my heart. (I hate hospitals and surgery just terrifies me). So the thought of that pushed me away from continuing to live the lifestyle I was living before.
