How do you fix insomnia?
This is probably not the right time of day to be asking but what else can I do right now?

There are too many things going around in your mind. If you don't want to take some over the counter stuff like valerian, melatonine (or deal with doctors) - which can mess around with your mind too ! - try that little trick : it is so boring because it kind of works..but it is boring and that is the reason why it works - for me anyway - : concentrate on a BORING object : a stone, kettle or whatever and visualise it in your mind and stop thoughts from coming through. Hold the picture in your mind's eye and just try to concentrate on that. It takes a bit of practice at first to stop thoughts from invading whilst also relaxing your body but after a while it should work. It is aimed to make your mind shut down. Of course it is also good to air whatever is on your mind too and like Bunstihl said , write them down on paper.
Keeping a regular schedule would also help otherwise it messes up with your metabolism also. The brain is naturally conditioned to shut down at certain times. Don't force yourself to stay awake whilst you should really be resting.
Some methods will work with some people whilst others wont. Acupuncture, Reiki, even scented candles.......up to you to try to find out what will be the best remedy suited to you.
