Feeling of Thorns in Throat when eating cake yesterday??

Question: As i swallowed, i felt like i had thorns. OUCH. It was a chocolate cake, and as far as i know, it didn't have any thorns in it, so why did i feel that? Could it be i have some throat infection? even though i don't really feel any sick at all.
