my 3 year old will not eat anything accept pizza, pb/j, chicken nuggets, fries been like this for a year. help?

Question:
I do give him what he wants, sometimes will gag if I force it in his mouth. Is something wrong?
Is not under weight, is actually gaining

Answers:
It is perfectly normal for a child of that age to eat those things. Most kids do it. It is easy for them to put in their little hands.

Other Answers:
not good .. he should be on a kids vitamin talk to ur pediatrician and nutrititonist pizza make u gain.. peabut butter is protein.. chicken tho is fatty and salty and that is bad..
you should take him to a doctor, and you should also make him eat something else, you have to force them because I asure you it's not healthy at all.
well..it deppends how old is he?! give him pediasure if he is young
Probably just aserting their independance. Though you can talk to the pediatrician on this one.. My spelling is so off today..
Anyhow, Since it has been a year of this diet I'd be concerned. You'd want to ask about multivitamins and find ways to introduce new foods.. I hope I've helped:)
Lay down the laws and feed him healthy. If you give in to him at three, what will happen when he is 5 or 25?
he's gaining weight?no ****. how about you stop feeding him those things and try something healthier , let him get used to it, that or have yet another fat diabetic slob that takes up half a table at mcdonalds while he wolfs down his value meal
You need to take your child to his pediatrician and see if he can suggest something for him. You need to encourage him to eat other stuff. He is at the age where he can still eat baby food maybe try him on other stuff like veggies, meats, fruits stuff like that BUT in baby food form. You do not want to turn your child into a porker thats so sad seeing children who are like massively overweight from the parents not feeding them properly.
just tell him that if he doesn't eat what everyone else is having, then he doesn't eat period. worked for my son. he did the exact same thing
He will eat healthy food if he is hungry enough. My parents always made sure I ate healthy even if I did not want to. If I refused to eat healthy then they would not let me have any junk food until I was hungry enough to eat the healthy food. Of course if I absoultely hated something (like broccoli) they would give me another couple choices like carrots or peas. You got to experiment with healthy foods and eventually if you make meal time fun your son will eat. Also, of course he's gaining weight, it's because he's eating crap and if u continue letting him eat junk then he willl grow up a fat mess.
Sounds like my 2 1/2 yr old grandson, although he will eat hot dogs, and not pizza. Other than that, if you can't drown it in ketchup, he doesn't want it.
is there a reason why he gags at other food?

there has been plenty of moms that thanked god for mac and cheese because their kids would eat it when they wouldnt eat anything else.

you might start the kid with one veggie and tell him that he can have what he wants if he just tries the veggie. after a while he will start trying other foods. be firm
Don't worry about it, three year olds do this. My oldest was on a hot dog, cheese and apple sauce kick for a long time. It wore off after a while. He's 27 now, has a master's degree, is married and employed. He is very thin and muscular, and has a 3rd degree black belt.It didn't hurt him a bit. Give him a children's vitamin to make sure he's getting the nutrients that he needs. Introduce some other things every so often, but don't obsess if he turns them down. When he's a bit older, find an activity for him, something physical. He'll be ok.
Who is running your house?
nothing is wrong my 6 year old sister dos that and maybe you could make him eat it say that he wont be able to have dessert or play with a toy works with my sister
gaining? i wonder why! feed him vegetables. fruit. cheerios. stop giving him what he WANTS. you are the parent, you are supposed to know what is best. stop being a wimp! give him a childrens daily vitamin. that should help till you get him on a good healthy eating regime.
