each time i get out of my car and i happen to to touch any metal part of my car, i get shocked.why?remedy?

Question:
does this happen only in arizona?does it happen only to certain people?i get irritated by it?how can i not have one?

Answers:
That's static electricity, and it's very common. You can buy straps that touch the road as you're driving, that dispel the static.
that always happens to me too! what i do is before i step out of the car i put my hand on the outside of the car on the metal so i don't get shocked. (kinda like being grounded) and i think its just static electricity. it doesn't matter where you are either. I've traveled quite a bit and it does it anywhere.
