I have been smoking heavily for 1 year.?

Question:
I have been smoking heavily for 1 year. i have a medical exam for my residence to canada, do you think it's a problem? can they not grant it because i am a smoker, everything else is ok.

Answers:
To my knowledge the tobbacco industry is alive and well in Canada. I believe they are more interested in your motives to emigrate and you ability to be a productive member of Canadian society, so go for it.
Oh, and quit smoking if it has only been a year or so. You will be glad you did!
Don't sweat the small stuff. Smokers live an average of 8 years less than non-smokers.
