i just bent my thumb too far and...?

i was doing a little of work around here. i started to wrap some wide tape around a bag of pvc pipes. i was listening to someone talk and as i went to move the tape around under the bag of pipe i just caught a glimpse of my thumb as it pushed against the pipe and bent backwards really far. i dont know if anything popped or what not but the tendon or legiments as well as the muscle at the base of my thumb has been hurting nonstop for the past hour and a half now. im going to go to the dr in the morning to get it looked at. but does anyone know of anything i can do to possabily figure out why it may be hurting right now?

on average how many hours of sleep do you get?

Probably a hyper-extension of superfluous degree. It'll take a while to heal for sure. You may have dislocated the lower joint or even fractured it. Sorry, I'll hope for a quick heal.

does the us sponser?

Sounds like a hyper extension injury. I x-ray patients for that when it happens. Could be dislocation but I don't think you'd be typing(it would hurt too much). Ice and some pain/anti inflamation meds till your appt. Good Luck

night shift x-ray tech

Sometimes at night I have trouble falling asleep Any suggestions?

Go see a doctor and don't do that again.
