I Think Somethings Wrong With My Eye?

Question:

I have this one little puffy red spot on my top eye lid. It isn't a sty, and my actual eye isn't pink so I know its not pink eye either. It is sore when i touch it, and sometimes when I blink. It's only a little bit puffy and slightly pink...is it allergies, or is it something else?

Maybe it's a pimple or a bite... sometimes they really hurt... give it a few days or so and if it doesn't go away then go to a doctor...

I think it is a sty but not pink eye.

The most common cause of a painful swollen eyelid is a sty or an infection. That, however, would not normally go away by itself in a few hours. Allergies typically involve both eyes unless you got something in one eye only that provoked an allregic reaction. Another possiblity is an insect bite. Those often do go away in a short period of time. If the problem does not recur, you probably don't have to worry about it. If it comes back, see an ophthalmologist. I hope you dont got herpes of the eye it can ruin your life, so very rare! I really do feel sorry for you if it is.
