Well, some do.
But generally, it has to do with the bodily chemichals that produce the gas.
Burps come from the stomache, where there is acid, (bile), and food/drink. Thats why you taste what you last ate/drank when you burp.
Farts come from the colon/bowels. I'm not going to go into too much detail here, but you know what comes out of your colon/bowels.
