Has Anyone tried a liver cleanse? How did it help you? What are the health benefits?

Question:

Answers:
I have tried it, it can help somewhat.
What a liver-cleanse usually involves is taking some kind of acid to stimulate bile production, and then taking in a lot of oils (fatty acids, oilive oil etc) which forces the gall bladder to contract and push out the bile.

In fact, medicine doctors use for liver problems is Deoxycholic acid, which also has a similar bile flushing effect.

Another medically proven compound to used to heal the liver is Milk Thistle or Sylmarin, to prevent "cheleostatis" or lack of bile flow in the liver.

There are tons of published reports in Medline documenting how Milk Thistle protects and heals the liver. It works!
Hope this helps.
