A friend of a friend's mother recently lost an eye in a car accident. This is really unfortunate,?

Question: But I was wondering if anyone out there knows exactly what other options there are. She is walking around with sunglasses when they go out and I think there must be something else besides a patch. You can get glass eyes but I heard there is something made out of fibreglass and plastic that is non-irritating, more comfortable and realistic. What do you think?
