Question about health?
Question:
Answers:
Tapeworms are parasitic worms that live in the intestinal tracts of some animals but several different species of tapeworms can infect humans too (especially in less developed countries due to poor sanitation conditions). Some tapeworms can live in an infected person for over 10 years if diagnosis is not made and treatment is not given.
You can get infected by eating undercooked meat or fish, or by directly infected by ingesting tapeworm eggs shed by the adult worm (ugh!). Pork tapeworms, beef tapeworms and fish tapeworm come from infected...you guessed it, pigs, cattle and fish. The dwarf tapeworm is a common infection throughout the world that can be passed from one person to another (kids usually have this).
Sounds awful but tapeworm infection is treatable with anti-parasitic and anti-inflammatory drugs. But I've also read that surgery may be required sometimes if the infection cannot be cured with drugs.
Just avoid eating raw or uncooked meat, be careful when handling your food, and drink only from bottled or boiled water. =)

No, all humans do not have tapeworms and they are unhealthy for you because they steal nutrients from your body. If you suspect you have a parasitic infection, you should speak to your doctor.
no all humans do not get worms. All humans have e coli though. which is a bacteria in your intestines that's good for you. Tapeworms are disgusting. They are white and long and you can get them from eating raw pork or beef. Some people who get them can feel them come out when they go to the bathroom. They are a parasite and they lay eggs and multiply in your intestines. If you have them, go to your doctor and your doctor can help you get rid of them.
Why should ALL have it? Of course not. And there are more worms that that.
Tapeworm infection is acquired by eating raw or undercooked meat of infected animals.
I can really just copy and paste the whole thing here, but the link below should answer most of your questions.
I hope it helps!
sure. heres wat my book says:
It is a parasite. its body is long segmented, head is slightly larger and is called scolex which bears suckers and hooks. it attaches itself to the walls of intestine through hooks. head doesnt hav eyes. it cannt move. new segments arise at the posterior of the head and olders are pushed away and later detached. these r expelled out of the body and can reach another through food.
wen raw or poorly cooked meat of these animals is eaten then the parasite grows inside the eater.
it absorbs digested food through its general body surface.
