After using an enema?

Question:
The day after you use an enema for constipation, what should your bowel symptoms be like? Should you be pretty regular again, or is it supposed to be weird for a while since you pretty much messed up your cycle?

Answers:
A lot depends on what the volume of the enema was. If just take one of those Fleet type enemas then you should be back to normal either the next day or day after with no side effects.

If you used the hot water bottle/syringe type of enema and took a larger volume, say like the nearly 2 quarts that one of those bags can hold, and depending on what you put in the solution (soap, salt, etc.) then the next day you may experience loose bowel movements during the day. This could last a day or two then you will go back to normal.

The best way to help prevent this is to make sure you expel the whole enema when you take one. Make sure you visit the bathroom several times after taking the enema and expelling the initial result of it. Go back 2 or 3 times and try to get rid of more that may still be in you. This will help to keep it from bothering you the next day or two.

Enjoy your enema.

Good luck.
No it wont mess up your cycle. And you will go back to normal bowl movents after you haae done an enema. And when you do this your bowl movements will be somewhat loose. Nothing to be alarmed about.
