fever of 105 make brain boil?

Question:

I got into an aarguement with my stepmother today because she said i child will end up with a boiled brain if they have a fever of 105 or higher. i said thats not true. The reason for the arguement is b/c my sister took my neice to the hospital last night and they obviously didnt say anything....is she being rediculous again or is there some truth to it. Any responses are greatly appreciated.

O_o okay, your step mom is one of those crazy people. I can barely understand your question but I have read it and came to the conclusion that your sister must be one of those overprotective moms and there is nothing that can be done. You just have to be patient. If your niece has bruising (and I might be wrong so please, don't get mad.) or something, call Children's aid Society. They will place your niece in foster care!

well if an adults temp was that high then there would be critical problems even death but a childs can handle a fever higher than an adult but if they sent you neice home with a temp. of 105 then that is ridiculous and you need to bring her back right away or stick her in a tub of ice water and give her some ibprophrin right away. but it is true for an adult you can also start hallucinating with a temp that high.
