Now what.?

Question:
Last night I applied some salycilic acne medication to affected areas on my face and when I woke up some parts of my skin turned purplish/ brown--it burned. I was so worried about it and asked about it here as well (click link down there)

Now, today--the next day-- some of that brown skin seems to be peeling off and now the skin underneath is pink. Is it supposed to be peeling off? And what should I put on it now? Thanks if you can help me out I really appreciate it.

Answers:
Pink is good. That's the tender fresh skin underneath. It shouldn't be peeling, but you might want to put something on the pink skin so that it doesn't get infected. That's very important. Also tell your doctor about what happened with the acne medicine -- that's not good!

Other Answers:
Go to a doctor or dermatologist asap

you contact a doctor immediately-don't get nervous I have never used this stuff for acne so I am not sure if its' normal. But is this a prescription.if so call the DR although is seems if it was normal he would have told you to expect that. If it's over the counter mediciation I would not use it again. You could be having a reaction that is clearing up. You really need to be careful with the acne meds it can cause a lot of problems. Especially if your skin is sensitive. Not sure of your age but I know some acne meds have been proved to cause birth defects in you become pregnant. Pretty serious stuff!! hope everything is ok
