Question:
My g/f asked this question:
Question:
I am 16, I am not sexually active. i excersize daily, and eat healthy.I have been having extreme pain w/ my period. I have had it for like 2 yrs. Every time I get it, I get sick, feel like I am gonna puke unbarable back pain, "curl up in a ball" stomach pain. Whenever I get it I am out of school for the whole thing and am in bed unable to keep anything- the only thing that doesnt make me puke is water. The pain meds the doc gave me r not working, and the past 2-3 times I have had my period, I passed out a few times from the pain. Any advice will help!

OKAY I want to know how I can comfort her during her period? How can I make her feel better? Any guy w/ a g/f if u know pls give me advice on how to comfort her!

the same thing happened to my gf, theres not much you can do if she feels pain she feels pain, and i wouldnt be asking these cyber geeks, ask your doctor and if he doesnt give you a answer, say listen pal my little girls hurtin now you better give me a antidote!
Drink lots of water.. Sometimes, when I get my periods, I'll try this.. Get a glass bottle.. fill it with hot water.. wrap a towel around it.. lie on your side and kinda roll the wrapped bottle around your stomach..

but i think the safest bet is to go see a doctor.. tell the doc what's up..
Sounds like she has cysts.

I like to be left alone when I'm have pain like that. Nothing helps and everything is annoying. I would just do what ever she asks and don't let her drink caffeine when she's on her period. It intensifies the cramps.
soaking in warm water, such as a bath can help with the pains. Some girls get really bad cramps, I myself have never had this bad of a problem but I know a friend who use to pass out from the pain too. I have also found some hot teas with honey make me feel better when I am in simular situations.
I am not a doctor or professional in the field, but that sounds like you need to see a better/different doctor. Any pain that has gone on for years is a horrible thing. I would be concerned that it may be a problem other than her period. Please see another doctor and good luck.
As for the girl, she should see some different doctors. If one med isn't working, then another doctor might be able to help with better meds.

As for you. There is NOTHING you can do except whatever she says. Ask her what she needs or wants. If she tells you to stay home, stay home. If she says, sit by me, sit by her.
If you go above and beyond, you will upset her and she will hurt you.
sounds like when i get my period what really helps me is a heating pad a hot bath and i know this sounds crazy but sitting on a hot towel.. it has always eased up my cramps i get sick like that too and i am out of work for a few days. dont give her any choclate or pizza it makes it worse..anyway i hope this helps
You may have endometriosis. It is when the lining of the inside of your uterus grows on the outside of your uterus. I found this website when my friend had similar problems www.4woman.gov/faq/endomet.htm. But please see your doctor to diagnose this. Alternatively, I also had severe pain with my periods when I was younger and found that if I took Ibuprofen 400-800mg/day(depending on how your stomach handles it.take with food if possible) 2-3 days before my period started and drank lots of water then I felt better. My doctor also suggested that I take Magnesium supplements with my period to reduce the cramping. As far as comforting her.warm packs to the abdomen and Ibuprofen to reduce the inflammatory process of having your period. Lastly, when I started taking birth control pills.no more cramping ever!
