salty foods? what risk am i in for eating too much?


Question:
i really love salted green peas on the grocery. its only a little more than $1US per kilogram. what long / short term effects will i get? what if i washed the salt away from the dried peas? what if they were fresh green peas? can i eat too much? lol.

Answers:
The risk of high salt intake is getting high blood pressure which could lead to strokes and heart disease. Most of us get more salt than we need. Fresh green peas would be better than salted.
sheesh, just eat a banana and counteract the sodium already.
