nose bleed?

Question: my friend had a nose bleed yesterday night and then twice today, in the morning and then in the after noon, he just got sick and he's been having a running nose. in the afternoon he blew his nose to clear it but then his nose started to bleed. i just found out that it started to bleed again in the night. he told me that a string of blood came out and he asked me what it might be, it was like a long buger or something filled with blood that didnt fall apart, what can it be?

Answers:
It could be allergies something, and some people's noses just bleed a lot for no real reason. I would suggest hemophilia; except that if he had that, he would probably already know it by now. I'll bet that it stops on its own soon; but if it doesn't, then have him call a doc.

Oh I usually call it a blood vessel. It is nothing out of the norm. I have had nose bleeds since I was a child and it happens. There is nothing to be afraid of. Trust me besides having a history of nose bleeds ( had rhino laser surgery to minimize the bleeding as a child) I am also studding for my RN. So do not be frighten. Usually nose bleeds come from temperature change, high blood pressure or too much strainage on the nose.
