What sleep schedule optimizes sleep?

Question:
I'm sure it depends from people to people. But if we can all agree that sleeping three hours between 3 am and 6 am is not enough nor well-planned, there's probably a relatively ideal sleep schedule no?

I would think that going to be at 10 and waking up at 7 would be ideal.

What do you think?

Answers:
I think any schedule you can get on where you get 8 hours is optimal.

Personally, I just left a job where I went to bed at 9 and woke up at 5 every day and I felt well rested; but that is because I was used to it. Now I go to bed at 11 and wake up at 7 every day and feel extremely rested. It's all a matter of what you can get used to. If you go to sleep at 6pm and wake up at 4 - you are still getting enough rest but your body will tell you in the first few weeks "I'm not ready to get up now!! It's still DARK OUT!!". Just try to get 8-9 hours and you should be fine.
I think the optimum amount of sleep, and what our bodies were most likely made for would be sleeping from sunset to sunrise....but that would suck!
