If you're over 50, try AARP.
If you are talking about medical. Go to Social Services. You may be eligible for either Medicare or Medicaid.
Try http://ehealthinsurance.com They have a wide variety of providers and plans and you can choose the one that best suits you. I got my daughter's insurance through them with Vista Health plan. I pay about $120 a month and the co-payments are ok. Its like $20 per doctor visit.
look up an independent insurance agent..
they will find you the lowest and best deal
Most major medical providers have "single person: packages. Like Blue Cross, Kaiser etc.I hate Kaiser though, they kill people. You can probably do a search online.
