For those who don't know, EDSS is a disability scale used to assess an MS patient on an ongoing long term basis regarding their ability to walk, mobility, and so on. My doc uses it to watch my progression of my illness. In any case, this drug has been used in studies for several years for example for Lambert-Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome.
There have been trials for this drug for MS as early as 1990 (see link below) and it appears that these trials continue including one that started in June 2006 (see link below)
