I have an Interview this afternoon but im ILL do I go?

Question:
I have had an upset stomach all day and i've been sitting here willing it to go away and taken medication and everything, but I feel worse now than what I did a few hours ago. Thing is I'm on Job seekers and I have an interview this afternoon for a Job as an administrator, they only phoned me yesterday to offer me the interview, If I phone them up and say Im ill I know that I haven;t got a chance of getting the job, But if I go in there and pucke everywhere or need to go to the loo every 5 minutes its also gonna look bad! So what do I do?

Answers:
as someone who has done the odd interview, I would prefer it if an interviewee came in and told us about their condition at the interview.

Assuming that you are as equally qualified as everyone else....and assuming that the company is only holding interviews on one day...

You are correct that, if you do not go in, you will almost certainly NOT get the job..... even if you phone up.... even if you throw up while you are on the phone, You will be put to the bottom of the list and the other candidates would have to be *pretty bad* before they contacted you again

However - If they are going to be interviewing over a couple of days, you could ask for a postponement, otherwise (if you actually want the job) go in

I have read a couple of the other answers, and I have to say that some people have a rose-tinted view of interviews.
Let me tell you the situation. I have, say, 5 people who are going to take a chunk out of my busy day. each one is equally qualified (on the basis of their CV) and each one is glowing, enthusiastic and keen (at least, at the interview they are). If someone doesn't turn up....for ANY reason.....I have one less interview to do....Hooray! it means I have less time to waste explaining the company and the job.....Tomorrow is too late... I have appointments to keep and work to do. I scheduled these interviews one or two weeks ago, and if you cant turn up, I don't care who's life you've saved or how Ill that you are, I am going to put you right at the bottom of my list. I am sorry if that's harsh, but it's true.
You should try to go, maybe you are nervous and that is making you feel worse, try to take something to calm you down.
