what do you think about doctor who likes smoking?

we all know that smoking is bad for you whether your a doctor, or a unemployed bum.what job you have has nothing to do with whether or not you should smoke.. people smoke for different reasons and personally i could understand why a doctor would smoke,think about how many people's lives depend on them,,,,,,,,,,,i'd be stressed out too..smoking up a storm!!

He hasn't read his books in his medical schools. I wouldn't take him very seriously.

Ethically, I'd have to say it's wrong. But on the human aspect of things, he is ONLY human. Stress is a major factor why people smoke, and if having to deal with life and death and you control the situation quite a bit, as doctors do, then I can understand. It may sound hypocritical to ask a patient to quit smoking as he/she can smell the cigarette smoke on the doctors suit, but what can you do? Doctors are humans too.

its not very good BECAUSE THEY KNOW WHAT COULD HAPPEN IT IS LIKE THEY WANT TO WASTE THEIR LIFE

Well, my initial response would be to say it's hypocritical, but I suppose I should also say it depends on what kind of doctor he is.

If he deals with lungs and smoking-related diseases, or general health, that would be setting a bad example.

He might have some reason to, as much as I hate to say that. I personally don't think there is anyway to justify smoking, but he might not believe that.

I would also think that the doctor would know better; if not, what has all that studying in medical school amounted to?

I think that its there life and they know the full effects it takes on them. so if they chose to do it its there body . A plus they can tell you what the effects are personally to tell you not to! People from all walks of life are acceptable to addiction of any form.
