I have always had the horrible habit of bitting my nails what is the best way to get rid off the habbit?

First of all, keep in mind that putting your hands in your mouth is a great way to get sick. Your hands-- especially your fingernails-- are covered with grime and bacteria even after you have just washed them. Look at your fingernails and try to imagine, if you can, the millions of germs, eggs, mites, flakes of dead skin, fungal elements, and bacteria harboring under them. GROSS. Keep your hands out of your mouth and you will start to feel better immediately.
Secondly, buy some nail clippers and keep your nails short. When you feel compelled to bite them, clip them instead. There's nothing to clip? Then imagine what a guy must think, looking at those hands if your nails are bitten into the quick. Stop biting them now and you may have a chance of having nails that aren't all deformed. If you constantly bite your nails, when you finally stop they will grow back disfigured and they'll always be that way.
Lastly, either take the above suggestion of fake nails OR put a lot of polish on them. Go to a manicurist and have this done. Spend some money. If it cost you $20 to have your nails done you won't be so quick to gnaw them.
