Explosive Diarrhea?

Question:
for the past few weeks, my stool has been mostly soft and liquid. and worse, when i have to go it hits so hard that i feel like i might not make it to the bathroom. is there something i can take to help, like fiber pills or something?

Answers:
Fiber will only make it worse for you! You can try over the counter Imodium AD, but I suggest you see a doctor first, it could be something more serious.

Other Answers:
Get some Imodium.
fiber will make it way worse. Are you under more stress than usual? You should go to Dr. You run the risk of being dehydrated.
Yes there are you need to go to the chemist, explain the situation and they will advise. I recommend IModium Advanced its what Drs prescribe for this condition.
Fibre absorbs water and will make the stool firmer.
Please do not take any fiber pills. I would see a doctor about it, and while you're waiting you can take an OTC (over the counter) medication. This could be a sign of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, as well.
Definantly carry some immodium pills & don't do any activities that are going to keep you away from the toilet( I have to deal with this since having my gallbladder removed) Next get to the root of the problem. Have you been having any stress in your life Ex: Money, Relationships, job, starting exercising, wt problems. If none of these things are going on, then look back at what you've been eating. Maybe a feel good food, or have you been eating a lot of fruit because it's summer. Things like oatmeal have a lot of fiber, but if you eat too much, will actually make you worse. You'll be in the bathroom all day with really soft stool. If everything else is ruled out. Then I would go see a Doctor, you may have just picked up an intestinal parasite, maybe at a place you ate out at? I hope you fell better soon cuz it's the s***'s to not feel good !! LOL
your better off eating dry toast, bannas rice and applesause until this resolves. Yofurt is good too. If it keeps up you really need to see a doctor. Don't wait too long.
