Why do I always want to eat when I am bored?

Whenever I am at work, I am bored, and all I want to do is eat, so I just eat junk food.

Why do I always want to eat and what can make that feeling go away.

Inherited high cholesterol?

Most of the time when you feel like eating it's either a coping mechanism for stress, or it's a cue that you need to drink. Have a glass of fresh cold water, or two... See if you feel the urge to eat after that. Most of the time you won't.
However, the coping mechanism thing is also true. Eating something crunchy is very calming. Try healthy snacks, like apples, carrots, or any crunchy alternative. You'll do yourself loads of good.

I hate that feeling! Keep a food journal and journal every thing you eat for a few days. This will make you extra aware of how much you are eating that you don't need to eat. If you need to munch, make healthier choices like friut, veggies, low-fat crackers. Drinking water instead of eating helps me too.

How often is the NCLEX offered every year?

I went through the same thing about a year ago. It's a mental thing. A habit. You can take an herb called chromium picolinate, apple cider vinegar tablets, or even bladderwrack. They are all great for kicking that feeling and they even help to speed up your metabolism. These are herbs, not a diet pill, so they don't work instantly. Give them a few weeks to kick into your system. Take them when you eat breakfast and lunch or dinner. Other than that, the urge is something you have to mentally work on. Tell yourself not to eat anything, but if you do... make sure it is healthy.

uh well why are you board at work? maybe you could work instead of get bored? i don't mean to be rude but what do you do and how could you be bord then?

how do you get rid of corns on your feet?

it may be due to having something to do with your hands. maybe try to find something else to do, like knitting can keep your hands busy. if knitting isn't your thing, then maybe drawing or sketching stuff, like making up clothes to wear.

if it's more of eating than keeping you hands busy, always have some healthy stuff tucked away. junk food can increase your cravings, while healthy stuff can kill em off pretty quick, and give you crazy energy! but not nasty tasting healthy stuff. maybe some cuts of fresh fruits, raisins, trail mix, juice boxes, granola bars, etc. all types of good stuff that tastes great!

google (or yahoo search) for 'healthy, quick snacks' and you should hit tons of sites that'll give you all the good stuff. search on how to keep your hands busy, too.

good luck!

Freezing Cold!?

I know it is controversial, but I think there is some truth to this. Babies are supposed to go through 3 stages of physical awarness: oral, anal, genital. It is believed that people may end up favoring one stage over the others. The only reason why I'm suggesting you might be an oral person is because I'm the same way: I need to be chewing or biting something (or smoking :( ) when I'm idle. What you have to do all depends whether you eat because you feel hungry, or you eat for the sake of chewing on something.

If you're hungry, eat something with a lot of protein before work. You'll feel full longer. And don't snack on things with a lot of sugar or carbs. These things raise insulin levels, which after a bit tricks your body into thinking it's hypoglycemic, which makes you more hungry. Yeah I know, it's screwed up.

And if you're just trying to keep your mouth busy, suck on mints, or eat baby carrots (I love those things, and they require a great deal of chewing and biting). Hope this helps.
