A recent ERCP was performed on me resulting in a perforation of the bowel causing ARDS. Do I have a lawsuit?

Question: Along with ARDS I had sepsis and ecoli.This almost caused my death.I am still undergoing treatment as a result.

Answers:
Probably not. Contrary to popular belief it is not all that easy to sue a doctor and win. You would have to prove he did something that was not accepted practice insofar as methods used. Or was incapacitated (like drunk) and should not have been performing any procedure. A poor result in and of itself is not cause for a suit. I don't know the Latin term for it but in the laws eyes..s**t happens.
