Remedy for a crick in the neck?

Question: I don't want diagnosis stuff or anything; just how to get rid of a crick in the neck. I tried advil but it's only done a little bit of good.

Answers:
The best thing is ice not heat. I get one ever so often to where I can't even turn my head. I used to put heat on it but then I read to use ice and it really helped. Putting heat on it just inflames the muscle even more causing greater or prolonged pain.
