I know two women who have had it done - both find that meat is something they no longer can tolerate and of course they are unable to eat as much as they used too or would like too now. One woman had to have two more visits to the hospital with complications, but this is not necessarily prevalent.
She has lost a great deal of weight, but the other one still tends to be soft and over weight since she may not eat as much, but she eats the wrong foods, such as fats and sugars etc. So while it may cause you to eat less you still have watch your diet and exercise! It's not a fail safe procedure in my estimation.
