Seizures and brain spots.related.

My 11 wk old nephew's MRI showed 3 spots on the brain. He recently had seizures. Are they related? What could be causing this? He was born with polycystic kidney disease and has had both kidneys removed. He is currently on dialysis.

my sister is 5'1" and she is 15.what can be done to increase her ht?

Yep- they're related. My daughter ( who is now 7 years old) got stuck in the birth canal and suffered from some oxygen deprivation. We had an emergency C- Section. She began having seizures that we noticed 3 or 4 hours after the delivery. They did an MRI and showed several spots ( or infarcts) on her brain. ( Probably from the oxygen deprivation.) The doctors said that the infarcts cause seizures. She was on Phenobarbitol for the 1st year of life to prevent the seizures. The cool thing about a newborn's brain is it's ability to regenerate. If there is a side that has a spot or isn't working well, there is another side that will overcompensate- pretty much do the work for both. Anyways, she was walking by age 1 and feeling better so we weaned her off the Phenobarb. Like I said, she's 7 now- no more seizures. No physical or mental abnormalities.
